Our
Commitment
Teach
God’s Word:
Matthew
28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the
Holy Spirit”.
We believe
that as Christians we need to teach and share our faith in Christ. Because
God has commanded us to do so.
Romans 10:14
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how
shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they
hear without a preacher?
Romans 10:15
And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
How
beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring
glad tidings of good things!
We have been
Chosen by the Father:
Ephesians
1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed
us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
Ephesians
1:4 Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we
should be holy and without blame before Him in love.
Ephesians
1:5 Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself,
according to the good pleasure of His will.
Ephesians
1:6 To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us
accepted in the beloved.
We have been
Redeemed by the Son:
Ephesians
1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of His Grace.
Matthew 2:21
“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He
will save His people from their sins”
God Our
Creator:
Isaiah 43:7
Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My Glory; I have
formed him, yes, I have made him.
God sent His
Son:
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have
everlasting life”.
God desires
our worship:
John 4:23
“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true
worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is
seeking such to worship Him”
Jesus the
Christ:
Matthew
16:15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I
am?”
Matthew
15:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of
the living God”
Matthew
16:17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are
you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you but
My Father who is in heaven”
Every Battle
Belongs to the Lord:
2nd
Chronicles 20:8 Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great
multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
Christ will
Answer Prayer:
Matthew 21:
22 “And all things, whatever you ask in prayer,
believing, you will receive”.
The Ministry
of Christ:
He is
Savior, which implies many important and interrelated truths: the need of
sinful men to be saved, 1 Tim.1:15, Christ as God-man to be our Savior He
experienced a humiliating death John 19:18 and the Victorious bodily
resurrection He experienced as sure guarantee of our salvation and the
glorious results of salvation
John 5:24 “ Most
assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent
Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed
from death into life.”
He left us a
Helper:
John 14:26
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father
will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your
remembrance all things that I said to you”
Jesus is the
way:
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and
the life, No one comes to the Father except through Me”.
Fear not:
Romans 8:15
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you
received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry our, “Abba, Father”
Nothing
Shall Separate us from Christ:
Romans 8:35
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or
distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Romans 8:38
and 39 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor
principalities, nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor
height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us
from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Bless God
for He comforts us:
2nd
Corinthians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the
Father of mercies and God of all comfort, (4) who comforts us in all our
tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble,
with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (5) For as
the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds
through Christ.
Promises
from Giving:
2nd
Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that
you, always having all sufficiency in all things, have an abundance for
every good work.
Verse 10 Now
may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and
multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your
righteousness.
His grace is
sufficient:
2nd
Corinthians 12:9 And He said to me, “My grace is
sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness”
(10) For when I am weak then I am strong.
Let us pray
for the fruit of the Spirit:
Galatians
5:22,23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness , gentleness, self-control. Against such
there is no law.
Let us love
one another:
Colossians
3:12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, let us have tender
mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering, bearing with
one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against
another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
But above all
these things put on love which is the bond of perfection. (15)
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called
in one body; and be thankful. (16) Let the word of Christ dwell in you
richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and
hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
