APPLES & BOOKS,
BUGS & STICKS provides a variety of programs for children ages six weeks
to school age.
FULL TIME PROGRAMS
are offered for children ages six weeks to five years, in
developmentally-based groups.
PART TIME PROGRAMS,
available on a reserved basis, are offered for infants to
six years in developmentally-based groups.
DROP IN PROGRAMS
are provided for infants to six years of age, in multi age
groupings, using age appropriate activities.
Realistic
curriculum goals and plans are based on regular assessment of individual
needs, strengths, and interests. The following enrichment programs are
offered.
Infant/Toddler
Program: Interaction nurtures one of the most important natural powers
of growth in the child. The children are given opportunities through out
the day to explore their interest and receive motivation to experiment
with, and problem solve with a variety of materials.
Nursery School Program: Children learn through play, by using
self-challenging activities, forming and working together in teams and
enhancing their social skills.
Kindergarten: Is an
extension of nursery school, with special attention given to the
development of concepts of numbers, language and arts. Other curriculum
goals include reading, science, health, math, foreign language, social
studies, drama, music, cooking and computer programs. Through out the
year children will be able to attend enrichment programs and to
participate in various field trips.
After-School
Program: Is a well designed program which is adaptable to the need of
each child. Outside activities, homework time, arts, music, and
computers are provided.
Summer Club House:
Is a full-day summer program includes outdoor activities, special events
and swimming on the premises.

Program:

appropriate
intervention and structured educational
programs for children with special needs.
